Update coin market report as of 11-01-2019
we are seeing the continuation of premiums shrinking .. the coin market is flooded with coins. and a lot of them have no willing buyers at a premium. dealers are seeing their inventories losing value . and as new lows for a particular coin gets recorded its setting the new liquid sell prices. and dealers and collectors are racing to any willing buyer.. also PCGS and NGC has 30 years of overgrazed oops! floating around the market. a large part of those oops! ended up benign sold to investors. I’m seeing many people who don’t have experience in coins but bought large amounts as an investment. It pains me to review the coins in there portfolios and see it’s mostly common over graded coins . which had little if any hope of large returns. We have strong sell recommendation on PCGS coins and NGC coins. we see further downside exposure. and we have suspended sales to non savy collectors .
I see coins as a much easier way for the untrained investor to lose money!! Case in point 90% of the people who show me coins purchased from 4 -15 years ago are all losing money!!!
