PCGS is known by most as a trusted coin grading service and stands for Professional Coin Grading Service. Grading services are usually performed by third party companies such as PCGS that will grade your coins using recognized industry standards. After the grading process is finished your coin will then be inserted in a protective cover along with a certificate or insert explaining the coin’s grade.
